NEW DRUMMER ROCKS!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated on the band status.

Our NEW Drummer TODD, did an excellent job at his first practice with the band. We had great energy, fun, and got a good amount of work done in only
3 hours. Our first practice together was at Vinyl Red studios in Ontario, California. We were thinking of trying out another rehearsal studio that is new
to ontario. Unchained Studios. We'll let you know how that turns out.
In the meantime, take a listen to our DEMO including drum tracks from Fabian, and old HeldDownByHate drummer, Gabriel.

Once Todd is comfortable with all the songs, we will re-record with his drumworks.

Taken Over Demo

This first demo will have 5 full length songs for the band members and their friends. The next demo that is planned with Todd will have only 3 songs on it for
getting gigs and whatnot. However, we plan for it to be a professional recording
to be mixed and mastered at Vinyl Red Studios.

Band starting a new drummer this week!

Taken Over will be starting out a new drummer this weekend as our original drummer has now moved to Las Vegas. Fabian, our original drummer was cool
enough to record a couple drum tracks for us to put a rough first demo together.
Our new drummer who will begin rehearsing with us had been in a previous band with three of us. The old band was named Held Down By Hate.
So we welcome Todd, the new drummer to the band and we hope it all works out for the best for Fabian and ourselves.

Also, since we have those drum tracks on the burner, we will try and have the first rough demo done in the next week hopefully. It will NOT be mastered at this time though. We will do another complete new demo with Todd.

Flower tattoo

I finished Rosie's flower tattoo yesterday. She did a GREAT job with getting through the painful process of back tattooness. Also a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rosie yesterday.

MOTOGRATER INSTRUMENT

I would like to attempt in the near future, a building project. This project may be familiar to one or two of you that have heard of the band MotoGrater.

The instrument that is a MotoGrater is what I want to make. I've mentioned this before over the years to some of my friends, but never knew how to make the basic setup of what is.....the MotoGrater. Well..... I found some pics that are pretty revealing of the specifications....so i took the liberty of drawing up a basic blueprint without actual dimensions. First, I have to find a couple big ass cables, some aluminum, and a couple old guitar pickups.

It's gonna be an awesome tattoo with black, red, and whatever colors I can talk him into adding. hehe.

Latest Tattoo work

Here's a couple tattoos I did this weekend. I tried out this new stencil application cream called "stencil-pro". I was hoping for it to be an awesome alternative to my normal procedure, but it didn't do what it advertises to do. It is supposed to keep the stencil on for long periods even while wiping. This way, you don't have to worry about having to re-draw stencils as you go. I ended up going with my standard way in the end. I MAY try "stencil stuff" which is another brand but the same idea. We'll see.

DMT and MOTOGRATER at the Whiskey TONIGHT!

DMT took on a last minute show at the Whiskey TONIGHT
with an old favorite band of mine MOTOGRATER.
Motograter now has some new members, but a couple of them are
still original members. Either way, they're awesome and you definitely should go check it out if you have the chance.
You already know DMT is badass so go to the show!

I did both of these tattoos on friday evening. I hadn't expected to be doing these on that particular day as I was planning on going to see DMT at Shamrocks bar n grill at 10:00pm. However, I was just finishing up the flower tattoo on Rosie at about the time DMT was to hit the stage. Sorry about that fellas! I really wanted to go! Jamie (DMT Vox) knows what was going on since he and i were txting back and forth before the show. Man that sucks...because I live within walking distance of Shamrocks and they've (DMT) never played that close to my pad before....it would've been soo awesome. Well, maybe they'll play there again soon. RIGHT GUYS!!!!???!!!

Anyways, I missed the show..and Rosie and Alexis did a great job takin that pain. halol.....Tattoos hurt, for those of you unaware. hahaha
